Developmental milestones (approximate)

  • Fine motor skills Can pick up a small object (like a Cherrios® cereal piece) with a scissors-like grasp (thumb and finger).  Uncovers a hidden toy.
  • Language Repetitive consonant sounds.  Says “mama” and “dada” but often does not appropriately identify mom or dad.
  • Social interaction Plays peek-a-boo, pat-a-cake.  Waves bye-bye.  Responds to the sound of her name.
